“David is concerned with the geometry and simplicity of his work without losing it's spontaneity; the result is refreshingly unaffected.” -The Quiet Front
David Karvasales (b. 1985) is an American photographer living in San Francisco and Los Angeles. His work explores the idea of spontaneity, adventure, and kismet with a focus on geometry.
Growing up in a rural valley by the coast of Northern California, David was inspired by the light of the dry grassy hills in the summer and the early morning frost of winter.
Years later after moving into the urban scape of San Francisco, his work maintained an eye for light to effect the mood of his work but also began to incorporate a stronger geometry - at times drawing influence from graphic design.
His work is currently in private collections across America, UK, Australia, Germany, and Japan. He is represented by Refusalon | Schmulik Krampf in San Francisco.
